the original was a hungarian song and was made before WW2. when the war started the public didn't want to listen to depressing songs, so they tweeked the lyrics at the end so that it said it was "just a dream". by the way, the literal translation from hungarian to english is nothing like the english lyrics fabricated to fit the song. you should def listen to the original =)
